Volunteers
ACES relies on member volunteers to accomplish many activities throughout the year, and our national conference is no exception. We are currently seeking volunteers ahead of and during the conference.
REGIONAL VOLUNTEERS
This opportunity is available to anyone living in the Philadelphia or Washington, D.C., area (i.e. the Northeast Corridor).
In addition to regular volunteers, ACES is offering free registration to three fellows. Find out how to apply
EXPECTATIONS
- Volunteers must attend planning sessions in the area and contribute to our blog and set-up events.
- Volunteers will spend 2-4 hours on Wednesday, April 14 collating conference materials and participating in other preparatory activities.
- Volunteers will be assigned other responsibilities from Thursday, April 15, to Saturday, April 17. Responsibilities will include staffing the registration desk, wayfinding, setup and breakdown.
- Each volunteer will be asked to write an article on a session for our Web site and newsletter during the evening. Computers will be provided, and we’re looking for 500 words or less.
- Total working time between Tuesday and Sunday is expected to be approximately 6 hours, allowing each volunteer to attend sessions and events.
- Students are welcome, too!

- One article each day on a session. You pick the session (first-come, first-served)
- Each article must be a minimum of 250 words and should include a quote from the session presenter and an attendee.
WE NEED PHOTOGRAPHERS
